Dawn Phillips Dawn discovered how to use pencils and crayons in preschool and began doodling on papers, walls, cars, and etc.. She was aware of her creative gift as early as grade school. She says, "it comes to me naturally it's hard to explain, sometimes I can turn an object or shape into a whimsical character. Also, by combining multiple animals, objects, or individuals into one creation. I strive to be unique and give my characters personality and the ability to convey a story." Dawn has been illustrating for over fifteen years, including patch works pattern designs and T-shirt designs for screen printing , marketing proposals, presentation story boards, and graphic designs for business logo's. She has been a part of the book market industry since 2006, when she illustrated her first children's book. She just finished illustrating The Mother's Spell for Athse Publishing. Dawn also enjoys scrap booking, crafts, traveling, and collecting Disney items. |
